National archaeological museum established in 1931 to display finds made about a decade earlier near Monte Santa Croce, reopened in the 1970s in the former convent of Santa Chiara donated by the municipality. Its collection spans the Samnite period of the 6th-4th centuries BC through the Roman and early medieval eras, including the 2nd-century AD statue known as the Venus of Venafro.
