Castle in Venafro with a megalithic core, developed under the Normans and Angevins before passing to the Pandone family in 1443. Count Enrico Pandone had the noble apartments frescoed with life-size portraits of his prized stallions, each bearing his monogram and an inscription naming the horse, its breed and the nobleman it was destined for, one having been a gift to Emperor Charles V.
