Archaeological park covering some 40 hectares of the Roman city of Urbs Salvia, founded as the colony of Pollentia in the mid-2nd century BC and renamed under Augustus, with one of Italy's largest Roman theatres, an amphitheatre, a temple complex and city walls. Its museum, drawing on excavations under way since 1995, displays finds from the site and its surrounding territory.
