Museum built in 1978 beside the excavations of Egnazia, an ancient Messapian settlement north of Fasano that flourished as a Roman port on the Via Traiana before declining after the Gothic Wars in the sixth century. Its collection includes Messapian tomb goods, Gnathia-ware pottery and objects linked to the cult of Cybele.
