Archaeological park near Mirabella Eclano preserving Aeclanum, a Samnite settlement that became a Roman municipium after the Social War of 91-88 BC and received colony status under Hadrian around 120 AD. The 18-hectare site retains stretches of city wall over ten metres high, public baths, a circular market building and a late antique basilica.
