Gallery inside the Ca' d'Oro, a Gothic palace on the Grand Canal in Venice built in the fifteenth century for the Contarini family and named for the gold leaf that once adorned its facade. Baron Giorgio Franchetti restored the palace in the early twentieth century and bequeathed it to the state along with his art collection, which includes Mantegna's Saint Sebastian.
