Museum of Asian art established in 1928, occupying the third floor of Ca' Pesaro on the Grand Canal. Its holdings, formed around more than 30,000 objects Prince Henry of Bourbon-Parma acquired during travels in 1887-1889, include one of Europe's major collections of Japanese Edo-period art alongside Chinese jade and porcelain and Indonesian textiles and shadow puppets.
