Museum of Venetian painting housed since 1807 in the former Scuola della Carità on the Grand Canal, originally founded as the gallery of Venice's Academy of Fine Arts. It traces the Venetian school from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century, with major works by Bellini, Giorgione, Titian, Veronese and Tintoretto.
